In a by-election in Tonga, nobles in Tongatapu and Vava'u have elected Honourables Vaha'i and Luani to the Legislative Assembly.
Radio Tonga reports that they replace the late Hon. 'Ahome'e who passed away last month, and Hon. Veikune who was convicted for bribery and tax evasion earlier in the year.
Hon. Vaha'i received nine votes to become the number three Tongatapu nobles' representative followed by Baron Vaea.
Hon. Luani polled four votes to represent his colleagues in Vava'u, followed by Hon. Fakatulolo and Prince 'Ulukalala.
