American Samoa businesses who have defaulted on lease payments at the Industrial Park in Tafuna have asked the government for an extension in an effort to pay their dues.

Treasurer Velega Savali has sent out warnings to the businesses that they faced possible eviction for non payment of leases.

Velega says some businesses owe more than $100,000, and others have made lease payments with bad cheques.
