Fiji's director of public prosecutions, Josaia Naigulevu, and his wife are under police investigation for assaulting each other.
The divisional crime officer southern, Ponsami Chetty, has told Radio Legend that both parties have filed separate complaints against each other and they are investigating.
It is alleged that following a domestic dispute Mrs Naigulevu trespassed on her husband's property and assaulted him.
Both are are reported to have sustained injuries.
