Three Pacific teams have been confirmed for the first World rugby league Cup to be held on Australia since 1977.

New Zealand, England, France and Papua New Guinea gain automatic entry, along with Fiji and Tonga who qualified via the Pacific Cup.

But seven teams including Samoa are vying for the remaining three positions.

Teams will be divided into three pools with one of them to be a `Super Pool' consisting of Australia, England, New Zealand and PNG.
