10:58 am on 2 August 2007

The rugby union is dismissing a report that three All Blacks, Tony Woodcock, Ali Williams and Joe Rokocoko, want to be released from their Super 14 contracts with the Blues if David Nucifora is coaching the side next season.

The former Brumbies coach has been reappointed for a further two years.

The Rugby Union's deputy chief executive Steve Tew says contrary to a Rugby News report no Blues players have contacted the union saying they want to play elsewhere next year.

Woodcock and Rokocoko are signed till the end of next year, but William's comes off contract this year and there are indications he's considering a move after his difficulties with Nucifora became public when he was sent home from South Africa.
