Fiji pleased with its relationship with China - says official in interim PM's office

The Permanent Secretary in Fiji's interim Prime Minister's office says design contracts, soft loan funding and trade issues will be among the topics discussed at the China-Fiji Trade and Economic Cooperation Commission being held in Beijing, next week.

Parmesh Chand says they are very pleased with Fiji's relationship with China and the positive feedback they have received.

"We are quite confident of it and we are going into it with certain benefits in mind and we will manage it as we go along."

Fiji's five-member delegation is being led by the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Ratu Epeli Nailatikau.
