Fiji's interim Prime Minister has repeated that his country is by far the safest tourism destination in the Southern Hemisphere.
The statement comes after an Australian couple were robbed on their yacht.
He says to single out the incident and use it as a weapon to attack the tourism industry is pointless and outright misleading.
He says Fiji was recently voted ahead of Vanuatu and the United States in a tourism destination survey for family travel.
