The Samoa government's agency in charge of tourism marketing and promotion wants to expand its presence into American Samoa.

The Samoa Tourism Authority says with the development and growth of Samoa's tourism product and industry, the authority now seeks to appoint an American Samoa marketing representative.

In an advertisement in the Samoa News, the Tourism Authority said the representative will be highly dynamic and motivated, have proven experience in South Pacific destination representation, sound knowledge of the Samoa product and have a thorough understanding of the American Samoa outbound travel market.

The representative will also be responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring the American Samoa marketing plan targeting specific market segments in Pago Pago.

The two year contract is for an experienced, results-driven destination marketing professional to take Samoa's destination marketing campaign in American Samoa to an unprecedented level.
