The Vanuatu Tuna Fishing company has managed to pull its fishing boat off the reef near Port Vila.
The vessel hit the reef this morning when it wanted to leave the port after discharging its catch at the factory.
Port Vila market vendors, who witnessed the incident, said the fishing verssel was trying to make a short cut by bypassing two navigation buoys between the mainland and the Iririki Island Resort.
The authorities say there are no signs of pollution as a result of the incident.
