10:08 am on 8 July 2010

American Samoa governor, Togiola Tulafono, is this week again meeting parties with an interest in fish processing.

Togiola left the territory over the weekend for Honolulu to firstly attend a Climate Change conference.

The governor will then meet today and tomorrow with interested parties in fish processing, but no other information was available as to where the meetings were to be held.

According to the Samoa News, state-run KVZK-TV last night announced an agreement had been signed between Tri Marine International and the American Samoa government to operate the Samoa Packing cannery.

The plant closed down last September.

No other details were available.

Togiola has been working on securing a company to take over management and operation of the COS Samoa Packing plant.
