The Cook Islands' acting finance secretary says last week's economic summit produced more than one-hundred initiatives.

Priscilla Maruariki says the two-day meeting gave members of the public and business community the chance to meet with Cabinet Ministers and discuss lessening the country's economic reliance on tourism.

She says discussion points included moving to one-hundred percent renewable energy by 2020, issuing exploratory licences to major fishing companies and enhancing the marketing of offshore financial services.

"It's over a hundred ah list of recommendations and we have to prioritise that and cost it, I think the view is to embark on those that can be achieved easily and embark on those that will generate immediate economic return."

Priscilla Maruariki says 63 items have been given to the Ministries to cost and once that's done the government will determine those to undertake.
