The Foreign Minister of Georgia, Grigol Vashadze, has been in Fiji holding talks with the interim government.
The former Soviet Republic established diplomatic ties with Fiji last year.
Mr Vashadze has just been in New Zealand where he reportedly accused Russia of paying other Pacific countries to diplomatically recognise two breakaway Georgian territories that have declared independence.
The New Zealand Herald reports Mr Vashadze saying Russia's actions corrupted international relations.
Suva says the visit to Fiji is aimed at enhancing and growing bilateral relations between Fiji and Georgia.
It's the Minister's first visit to the Pacific Rim.
He departs for Australia today to meet Australian Foreign Minister, Kevin Rudd, in Canberra.
