Guam's Derek Horton was one of just two Pacific athletes in action on the final day of competition at the London Olympics.

He finished in 42nd place in the men's cross country mountain-bike race, while American Samoa's Nathaniel Tuamoheloa had to concede defeat part-way through his freestyle wrestling bout after picking up an injury.

Over the weekend, Samoa's Talitiga Crawley was eliminated in the opening round of the women's 67kg taekwando competition by the eventual gold medallist, Milica Mandic.

Compatriot Kaino Thomsen also bowed out in the openind round, against Gabon's Anthony Obame.
