2:29 pm on 2 November 2012

A human rights activist has been arrested by British police amid a demonstration against the visiting Indonesian president Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono over the Papua situation.

The demonstrators, estimated to be in their dozens, took to the streets over alleged human rights abuses by Indonesia's government in Papua.

The British prime minister, David Cameron, and Mr Yudhoyono signed a defence deal to boost co-operation in research and development, investment and production.

During his three-day visit to London, the Queen also paid tribute to the common values shared between Indonesia and Britain.
