Members of the Pacific African, Caribbean Pacific group have invited Fiji back into all talks.
The Pacific ACP countries have trade and development agreements with the European Union, and normally meet during the annual Pacific Islands Forum meeting, from which Fiji is suspended.
At a meeting in Papua New Guinea, it was decided all 14 countries of the PACP Group will now participate together in all meetings and in all activities relating to PACP.
In a statement, Fiji's Ministry of Information says the decision allows the region to work closely together in the best economic interest of the Pacific Islands as far as the European Union is concerned.
The government of Papua New Guinea has offered to host the first secretariat of the PACP.
