Flood warning for Fiji's Nadi river cancelled

In Fiji, the flood warning for the Nadi river and all low lying areas adjacent to the Nadi river and areas downstream has been cancelled.

A flood alert for low lying areas and small streams at and downstream of Sigatoka Bridge station, small streams and low lying areas downstream of Keiyasi station and the low lying areas, including small streams to the downstream of Sabata Station in the Navua River, has also been cancelled.

The heavy rain warning previously in force for Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands including the Lau Group is now cancelled.

Fiji Village online says an active trough of low pressure lies to the East of Fiji and is moving away from the Group.

Associated heavy rain and strong winds are no longer expected to affect the group.
