Vanuatu's National Disaster Management Office says there are no reports of damage from a 6.1 magnitude earthquake that struck last night.

The quake was felt just before midnight.

The United States Geological Survey says it was located 13 kilometres north east of Vanuatu's capital Port Vila and measured at 114 kilometres deep.

A spokesman for Vanuatu's NDMO says there have been no aftershocks from the quake.
