Vanuatu's Ministry of Health says tests have confirmed three new measles cases in Port Vila.
The Ministry says an urgent response to the new cases is underway to stop the disease from spreading.
Parents are being asked to have their childen vaccinated.
A Unicef Pacific representative, Karen Allen, says measles is one of the most contagious and dangerous diseases, especially for young children.
