Samoa's Leiataua Kirifoti Eteuati has been appointed as Ambassador at large for the Pacific Islands for the next three years.
Leiataua has been Ambassador of Samoa to Japan since 2009.
He was also his country's High Commissioner in Australia for eleven years from 1997.
Leiataua was also the Secretary to Government for many years before joing the diplomatic service.
