The Fiji Rugby Union has released the names of the team that will represent Fiji at the SUDAMERICA'S Rugby Sevens 2017.
The tournament will be held in Uruguay and Chile and will feature teams from Argentina, USA, Canada, Chile, Brazil, Uruguay, Colombia and Fiji.
The tournament is scheduled to be played on 6 and 7 January in Uruguay and 14 and 15 January in Chile.
FRU CEO John O'Connor said that the tournament would be a good opportunity to further develop the players.
He reminded the players to value the opportunity to represent the country and to go out there and prove themselves and uphold the reputation of Fiji in the 7s game.
"As preparations begin for the 2017 HSBC World 7s Series, which resumes in Wellington next month, this tournament will be a good opportunity to further develop the players in the 7s code."
"It will also give them the chance to prove themselves and be in contention for the Vodafone Fiji 7s team," he said.
