Heavy rain warning remains in Fiji

Fiji's metservice has advised a heavy rain warning remains in effect for Vanua Levu, Taveuni, Kadavu, and the Lau and Lomaiviti groups as well as nearby smaller islands.

A heavy rain alert remains in force for the rest of the country.

The service said the strong wind warnings over land had been cancelled, but a flood alert remains in effect for all low lying areas and waterways.

Mariners are advised that strong wind warnings are in force for the waters of Vanua Levu, the Lau group, and Vatu-i-ra and Kadavu passages as well as the Koro Sea.
