Clean water due on Vanuatu's Ambrym soon

A shipment of clean water is due to arrive on the Vanuatu island of Ambrym this week.

The people in the island's north have had to contend with contaminated water for a month, after the island's volcano erupted.

The Vanuatu Daily Post reported several villages had been forced to evacuate.

The national disaster office said a ship laden with relief supplies will arrive by the end of the week.
