Simon Morris gives credit to one of the most vital members of a film crew – the editor.  This year editor/director Chloe Zhao picked up the top two Oscars for Nomadland, and crack Pixar editor Kevin Nolting talks about why the role is quite different in animation.

Oscars 2021.  This year's Academy Awards show was more subdued than usual, but the winners were a lot more diverse.

 

The United States vs Billie Holiday features Oscar nominated actress/singer Andra Day in the title role, in the story of the legendary singer and the Song of the Century. 

 

Six minutes to midnight sees Eddie Izzard in the challenging role of World War Two secret agent.  Co-starring Jim. Broadbent and Dame Judi Dench.

 

And editor of the Oscar winner for Best Animated Feature Soul Kevin Nolting talks about his short film 22 vs Earth, and why his boss Pete Docter is one of the great directors.
