From Checkpoint, 6:23 pm on 7 April 2017

Highly acclaimed New Zealand singer-songwriter Aldous Harding is currently touring the US and Europe.

She is from Christchurch, and her music has been described by the Guardian as "bewitching", "deeply affecting" and "a folk artist whose performances strike that rare balance between fragility and full-blown possession".

Her album, produced by PJ Harvey's producer, is due out in May.

Here, she performs the unreleased title track of that album - Party - just for us.

Video recorded by Andre Upston and shot by Claire Eastham-Farrelly, with Jonathan Pearce on keyboard, Tristan Deck on percussion and Callum Passells on bass clarinet.
