When Che-Fu released his ground breaking 2nd album Navigator in 2001 it charted new territory for New Zealand Hip Hop. Both a critical and commercial success, the music reflected a truly Pacific soul, with its seamless blending of reggae, RnB, Hip Hop and true stories.

The influence and legacy of Navigator underscores its importance on the local music map  helping pave the way for Aotearoa Hip Hop's subsequent ascendancy into the mainstream.

Return of the Navigator is the story of Che-Fu’s seminal album, as told by the creators behind this Aotearoa classic.


2pm Cristobal Tapier de Veer


Cristobal Tapia de Veer is a Chilean-Canadian composer who is best known for writing the music for the HBO series The White Lotus.
Tony Stamp spoke with him about the ten years or so he’s spent making inventive scores for film and TV.
Before we hear the interview here’s the band Cristobal was in around 20 years ago, this is One Ton.
