2.10 Benee performs with the NZSO 

In July 2021,  Auckland’s Supalonely supastar BENEE joined the NZSO  for two spectacular shows at The Michael Fowler centre.

Accompanied by a 66-piece orchestra (NZSO) and BENEE's own band, this rising star of New Zealand music will deliver new arrangements of her Platinum hits ‘Glitter’, ‘Soaked’ and the worldwide smash ‘Supalonely’.

3.40 Miriam Clancy 'Black Heart'

Miriam Clancy is a New Zealand born musician who has an expansive career both as a session musician, songwriter and a solo artist. Her dark folk music led her to the U.S - Where she has spent the most of two decades making music, headlining her own tours as well as supporting the likes of Ron Sexmisth and Mark Lanegan and Wilco. 

Miriam has just released her fourth album ‘Black Heart’ yesterday - it's intensely personal and carries some heavy themes.

Trevor Reekie spoke to Miriam from her new found home of Pennsylvania, about the creation Black Heart.

4pm  The Mixtape -  Tiki Taane 

Our guest on the Mixtape this week is musician, producer, engineer Tiki Taane. At the age of 14 in Christchurch he started making music starting off in metal and punk bands. He then started making music with Salmonella Dub which took him into the world of Drum and Bass, Jungle working with Shapeshifter and moving onto live mixing, producing and started making solo music - eventually releasing the hit ‘Always on my mind’ taking him into the commercial sphere.  I ask him about the impact of this success - the F the police incident,  wellington protest and more
