Our Changing World for Thursday 1 February 2007
This Friday, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) will release a report on the science of climate change, which is part of the IPCC's Fourth Assessment Report and will be followed by further reports on climate change impacts and mitigation options. Veronika Meduna talks to Jim Renwick and Dave Lowe, both climate scientists at the National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research and contributing authors to the IPCC. A summary of the report will be available at www.ipcc.ch from 9.30pm on Friday.
Veronika also joins a group of geologists, led by David Nobes from the University of Canterbury, who study the polygonal patterns that form on the surfaces throughout Antarctica's Dry Valleys.
