Lamia Imam is a Kiwi-expat who lives in Texas. She grew up in Bangladesh and the United States. She's a former NZ Labour Party staffer and studied at the LBJ School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas. She works as a communications consultant and this year contributed to The Interregnum, a book of essays by young writers commenting on the current state of political uncertainty. She says the presidential campaign has seen the mainstreaming of the ultra-right movement, and the resulting racism is "scary".

Dick Allen was foreign policy coordinator to US president Richard Nixon, and served twice in the Nixon White House. He was the US national security advisor to president Ronald Reagan from 1981 to 1982, having been Reagan's chief foreign policy advisor from 1977. Dick Allen is a former lecturer in politics at Otago University, and is a fellow of St Margaret's College, Otago, He is president of the Richard V. Allen Company, a Washington-based consulting services firm.

Jon O'Brien is president of Catholics for Choice (CFC), an American pro-choice organisation advocating for sexual and reproductive rights from a standpoint of culture, faith, justice and morality.

He is in New Zealand to speak at the Sexual Health and Reproductive Rights Conference.

Jane Falconer has created a Garden of National Significance, Clachanburn Country Garden, on her farm in Patearoa, Central Otago. Jane's granddaughter, Lucy, received two years of leukaemia treatment in Christchurch and her family was supported at that time by Ranui House. After Lucy recovered, Jane collaborated with Tasman Bay Roses to breed the 'Lucy Rose' to raise money for Ranui House. Jane is also speaking at a fundraising lunch organised by NZ Life and Leisure magazine on Friday, November 18, at Stoneridge Estate, Queenstown.

Tame Iti is an artist and activist who is mostly associated with Tūhoe, but also has links with the Waikato tribes of Ngāti Wairere and Ngāti Hauā, and with Te Arawa. This week he gave Leadership NZ's 2016 Bishop Sir Paul Reeves Memorial Lecture, 'From the Raindrop to the River to the Sea', discussing the concept of mana.
