New Zealander Bunny McDiarmid is to head Greenpeace International.
Ms McDiarmid, former head of Greenpeace New Zealand, will step in as the international organisation's co-executive director alongside Jennifer Morgan of the United States.
Greenpeace said they will be the first women to head the organisation and will take up their roles in April.
Ms McDiarmid has been involved with Greenpeace for more than 30 years.
