A man and a woman have been arrested over an attack in an Auckland liquor store last night, which left a 61-year-old in a critical condition.
The man, 35, and the woman, 25, both face assault charges and the woman has also been charged with shoplifting.
Police said the 61-year-old woman was transported to hospital, where she was unconscious for five hours.
She is now recovering, in a stable condition.
Those arrested will appear in the North Shore District Court next week.
