Barfoot & Thompson says new listings of houses available for sale in Auckland jumped 37% in July from June, the second best month for new listings so far this year.
However, the agency says its listings at the end of July, 2,837, were at a record low and down 29 percent on July last year.
Managing director Peter Thompson said selling prices did not change much in the month.
"The prices over the last three to four months have actually settled down. In fact the price this month actually fell away by $5000, whereas the average sale price increased by about $4000."
