NZX has lost a $680,000 gas allocation agency contract following a competitive tender.
The stock exchange operator had held the contract since June 2009 following its purchase of M-Co Ltd which had held the role since 2008.
NZX says its existing contract expired on Monday and it is currently discussing transition services with the Gas Industry Company until the new agency takes over.
