October vehicle sales in the United States for General Motors were down 45% from a year ago.
Total sales were 170,585 for October: truck sales totalled 97,119 - down 51%. Car sales were 73,466 - down 34%.
GM says that adjusted for population growth, it was "probably the worst industry sales month" since World War II.
