Vector is considering raising up to $150 million from investors.

The Auckland-based energy network company says its plan involves issuing five year bonds.

The company stresses the proposal is still in its early stages and nothing concrete has been decided.

Vector used the proceeds from the sale of its Wellington electricity network business to reduce debt, which stood at $2.5 billion when it released its earnings results last month.
