Stocks advanced in the United States on Wednesday, erasing most of the previous day's losses.
Most European markets also ended the day higher. The FTSE was up 14 points to 5257.
The Dow Jones Index was up about 0.4% to 10,076. The Nasdaq Composite was up 0.5% to 2176.
Brent crude oil was trading at $US78 per barrel and gold was trading at$US1,063.50 cents per ounce.
