Asset writedowns are likely to hit Fisher & Paykel Appliance's books by $26.5 million.

The company has completed a review of its books and says it is considering making a $15 million charge on intangible assets and another of $11.5 million on asset impairments.

It says full details of the charges will be provided in its annual report, but they won't affect normalised earnings.
