Drugs, firearms and a large amount of cash have been found following police raids in a Tararua town, police say.

More than a dozen firearms, many of them loaded, were found at a property in Woodville. They included pistols, rifles and a shotgun.

Police say hundreds of thousands of dollars of cash were also found buried around the Hope Street house and grounds, as well as small quantities of marijuana and what's believed to be methampetamine.

A 35-year-old woman and a 42-year-old man have been charged with 14 offences including firearms charges.

Police also raided a Grey Street property where they say they found 150 cannabis plants growing in the house, around the property and in an underground concrete bunker.

A 47-year old man has been charged with cannabis cultivation.
