Neutral outsiders suggested to help with Fiji situation

9:04 am on 5 May 2009

Expatriate businessman Owen Glenn says Fiji's difficult relationship with New Zealand needs help from neutral outsiders to prevent further decline.

He says a high level group could hear the concerns of Fiji about its relationship with its neighbours.

Mr Glenn is a regular visitor to Fiji and was recently made an honorary chief for charity work on the island of Malolo.

He says any discussions with the interim military government would be more productive if New Zealand and Australia were not involved. He says any group must listen without prejudice.
