New Zealand Olympic champion Lisa Carrington has won double gold medals for the second time at the World Cup sprint kayak regatta in Poland.

Carrington won the K1 200m final at Poznan in Poland on Sunday to follow Saturday's gold over 500m.

She also had twin wins over the same distances in the Czech Republic two weeks ago.

She also won over 200m in Hungary on 11 May, giving her five gold medals across the three World Cup regattas.

AAP reports Carrington, 23, has successfully added the 500m to her repertoire, having blitzed the field over 200m at the 2012 Olympics in London.

She finished 0.696 seconds clear of Marta Walczykiewicz of Poland,, who pipped compatriot Karolina Naja.

Carrington also outclassed Katrin Wagner-Augustin of Germany in the 500m final 24 hours earlier.

The world championships are at Duisburg in Germany in August.
