A Hamilton woman charged with kidnapping a boy earlier this month has pleaded not guilty.
The accused, 40, who has interim name suppression appeared in Hamilton District Court on Tuesday.
Police say she kidnapped the boy at a pedestrian crossing outside his school in Hillcrest. The boy, 10, managed to escape and raised the alarm.
The accused elected trial by jury and will reappear in court on 26 September.
