The police in Hamilton say a man found hunting through a big rubbish bin in the early hours of Thursday morning had thousands of dollars in cash stashed in his car.
Officers were called to the Kent Street business about 1:30am after a report of someone acting suspiciously.
They found a man going through the large skip, and allege he had a knife, three drug pipes, and what is probably amphetamine.
Officers say more than $15,000 in cash was found in his car.
They're still considering what charges to lay.
