Police have confirmed that a body found in a caravan in a holiday park in Cromwell last week is that of missing man Simon James Garrick.
The 42-year-old from Queenstown had been missing since October 2012.
A homicide investigation had been launched and a reward posted for any information about his whereabouts.
Police have advised Mr Garrick's family that the formal identification process has been completed.
