Police in Waikato have named a Thames man who died under suspicious circumstances on Sunday.
Michael Brett Godwin, 49, died in Waikato hospital after being flown there with head injuries at a property on Queen Street in Thames.
Police say a post mortem will continue on Tuesday.
A man arrested at the address after the incident has been charged with assaulting two women.
He appeared in the Hamilton District Court on Monday and has been remanded in custody. Interim name suppression was granted.
