Organisers for the upcoming Wellington Sevens rugby tournament say thousands of tickets remain unsold despite first going on sale nearly two months ago.
In previous years, tickets have been snapped up in minutes. But when tickets went on sale in September a glitch to the website selling them prevented many people from buying them.
Sevens Wellington general manager Marty Donoghue says people assumed the event had sold out and didn't try again. About 3000 to 4000 tickets remain on offer to the public.
The Sevens takes place on 7 and 8 February.
