Traffic problems expected in central Christchurch on Monday morning, appear to have been avoided.
Last week the Christchurch Transport Operations Centre issued several warnings that traffic delays were expected in the central business district with the end of the school holidays and ongoing roadworks.
However, the centre is happy to report that the expected delays did not eventuate.
A spokesperson said traffic volumes were higher, as back to school commenced. While Durham Street and Barbadoes Street were busier than last week, there were no significant delays.
