A Greymouth man was being interviewed in relation to a stabbing over the weekend after he handed himself into police.
A 24-year-old man was stabbed in the stomach about 3am on Sunday morning and was in a stable condition in hospital in Greymouth.
A police spokesperson said the 26-year-old man handed himself in about 5.30pm and was kept in custody overnight.
