Serial stalker faces fresh charges

A serial stalker faces a fresh charge of criminal harassment after appearing at the Manukau District Court on Thursday.

Glenn Green has more than 200 convictions for breaching protection orders, harassment and intimidation.

He denied a new charge of criminal harassment and breaching his release conditions on Thursday, and will face a trial in October.

Mr Green was arrested in June only two weeks after being released from prison because his formal sentence was coming to an end.

The Parole Board imposed conditions including a curfew, electronic monitoring, and a ban on internet access.

He was also ordered to stay out of Ngaruawahia and Hamilton because the board said he had become obsessed with a woman while in prison. He is alleged to have found out where she worked and had planned to visit her.

Mr Green is due back in court next week for a further hearing.
