Industrial action by radiographers called off

3:17 pm on 8 April 2010

Radiographers have dropped rolling industrial action at district health boards to return to pay talks with their employers.

Staff that take X-rays and scans at all district health boards except Taranaki have been engaged in rolling industrial action because of a lack of progress in their pay talks.

The APEX union representing the radiographers has confirmed that the action has been withdrawn following an agreement between the parties to resume pay negotiations later this month.

The union is seeking a pay rise of about 3% to match a rise given to Taranaki radiographers last June.
