A Nelson man accused of murdering John Murray Morton, whose body was found on a boat earlier this month, has been remanded in custody.
Martin Grant Price will appear in the High Court at Nelson next month.
An anonymous tip-off led to the arrest on Saturday.
Detective Inspector Paul Borrell said the arrested man had been known to Mr Morton, and that they were not looking for any one else in relation to the death.
