Three teenagers accused of stealing $42,000 worth of tobacco and groceries from a Raglan service station and trying to sell them online will appear in the Hamilton Youth Court today.

Two 15-year-olds and a 17-year-old have been charged with unlawfully taking a motor vehicle and burglary.

Police said four offenders, who were using three stolen cars, drove one of the vehicles into the Raglan BP service station at about 4am on Sunday morning.

One of the vehicles was left at the scene and the other two vehicles were recovered on Monday in Hamilton.

Police alleged the three youths began selling stolen items through online buy and sell pages. Two other males have been arrested for receiving stolen property over sales of some of the stolen cigarette products on social media.
